I love learning new things, reading, and creating. I discovered a passion for plants while exploring the world of organic farming, permaculture, and sustainability on Vancouver Island.

I’ve always loved fantasy, science fiction, and historical fiction, as well as whatever non-fiction books strike my fancy. My personal bookshelf is full of farming, permaculture, and food forestry and forestry books.

I live in Camrose, AB.

I’ve been working with wire since 2008. I made many sculptures in the first few years – mainly ranging from trees to dragons to personality portraits.

I took a break from working with wire for a few years while I immersed myself in agriculture. I volunteered and worked on organic and permaculture farms on Vancouver Island. Eventually I raised chickens and rabbits at my family’s rental property, along with propagating my plant passion with a large garden full of veggies and medicinal herbs – from the alien flowers of passiflora incarnata (passionflower), to the rich, musty smell of ocimum sanctum (Holy Basil).

After finding it difficult to find rental properties on Vancouver Island due to the rising cost of land, I moved with my family to Camrose, AB in 2017. In October 2018 I picked up my pliers again along with a steel block and a hammer to start working with wire again, with a focus on jewellery – and the rest, as they say, is history!
